I’m Chuck Goering, founder and owner of Dachshunds Up North. Alongside my dedicated team just outside Bigfork, MN, we’re committed to raising healthy, happy Dachshund puppies with exceptional care and expertise.
We’re a family‑run Dachshund breeder just outside Bigfork, MN, specializing in longhaired, smooth‑coated, and wirehaired miniature and standard Dachshund puppies for sale. In 2022, we expanded our program with a trio of Cairn Terrier litters. Our pups enjoy a life of luxury—daily snuggles on our laps, cozy naps in our bed—and benefit from comprehensive genetic health screening (OFA‑certified) to ensure strong, laid‑back temperaments. Each puppy leaves us vet‑checked, microchipped, dewormed, and current on core vaccines.

Stud Service
Occasional Stud Service for Outside Females
We offer stud service on occasion to outside females, ensuring each pairing meets our strict health and genetic testing standards.
Health & Testing Requirements
All outside females must provide proof of up-to-date health clearances, including genetic screenings, a negative brucellosis test, and a recent veterinary exam, before coming in for a stud service.
Available Dachshund Puppies
All of our Dachshund puppies are vet‑checked, dewormed, microchipped and up‑to‑date on their first three core vaccines—plus they arrive with 30 days of prepaid pet insurance. Each pup leaves with a Puppy Starter Kit loaded with premium food, engaging toys, a mom‑scented blanket, leash, collar and cozy bed, along with a detailed Welcome Guide to help them settle into their furever home seamlessly.

What does “Pet Only” mean?
Our Pet Only Dachshund puppies include a mandatory spay/neuter agreement requiring surgery between 18 and 24 months, ensuring optimal hormonal balance for healthy skeletal and muscular development and lowering the risk of IVDD. Click Here to learn more.
How much is the deposit?
A $200 non‑refundable waitlist deposit secures your spot for up to one year and can be transferred to any available litter spot during that period
What comes with my Puppy?
Each puppy departs with:

Up‑to‑date core vaccinations and a state health certificate (required for out‑of‑state placements).

How do I reserve a puppy?
To reserve your Dachshund, submit the $200 waitlist deposit via Good Dog, Square, PayPal, or Facebook Pay. Puppies are only held once payment is received

Are there any hidden fees?
We apply a 3.5% processing fee on credit card payments and collect sales tax based on your delivery location.
Where do you deliver puppies?

Local hand‑delivery within 200 miles of Bigfork, MN, at cost plus a small mileage fee.

In‑cabin flight shipping to your nearest major airport, under USDA‑compliant conditions, ensuring your puppy travels safely with trained handlers.
